About Me

My mission is to make people's lives easier and more enjoyable by creating functional and convenient interfaces that are pleasant to use.

I transitioned to UX from teaching and curriculum design. As a self-taught UX researcher, I bring skills acquired from teaching: empathy, strategic thinking, and strong communication, into every project. My focus on users and their success is deeply rooted in my teaching background.

Never Stop Learning

As a self-taught UX researcher, I know how important it is to always be curious and get better in your field. To excel at what I do, I take online courses, read articles, and participate in workshops and conferences. I'm currently enrolled in Statistics Foundations Professional Certificate by Wolfram Research on LinkedIn, reading a book by Chris Chapman and Kerry Rodden Quantitative User Experience Research and experimenting with Claude Code a lot.

Try Something New

I constantly challenge myself to try new things, both professionally and personally. Recently, I explored coding with Claude Code and integrated it into my UX research workflows, which opened up entirely new ways of thinking about research processes. Outside of work, learning salsa with my spouse has been equally exciting. New experiences make me a sharper professional and a more rounded person.

Empower Others Through Experience

Sharing what I've learned brings me genuine joy. I've done this through a coffee blog on Instagram, by organizing an ESL speaking club with former colleagues, and by mentoring junior UX Researchers. Teaching others what I know fulfills me and gives my work deeper meaning.

Be Active

Physical activity fuels my mental clarity. I run, longboard, swim, and hike to stay fit and to sharpen my thinking. Right now, I'm training to run a half marathon in under 2 hours. The discipline it takes to chip away at that goal carries directly into how I approach complex research problems.

Travel and Be Inspired

I enjoy planning trips and traveling, seeking inspiration from new places and people. I'm interested in diverse perspectives and global viewpoints.
